Paradise Kiss (Live Action Movie)

I love Paradise Kiss. I too wanted some attractive fashion designer to design dresses *just for me* and hang out with design school kids instead of going to SAT prep classes. Imagine the sheer nerd giddiness I had when they announced a live action Parakiss! I walked into the theater expecting to get a live action retelling of one of my favorite manga and instead I got shit. Shit served on a nice looking plate with some gold leaf on top, but still a pile of shit.

Sengoku Basara: The Last Party

Here's my brief, summary and spoiler heavy "review" of the Basara movie.

Though first I should mention that we nabbed tickets to a screening with a cast greeting event beforehand, so before the movie the main cast––Tomokazu Seki (Mitsunari), Ohkawara Toru (Ieyasu), Nakai Kazuya (Masamune), Hoshi Souichiro (Yukimura)––and the director got up on stage and talked for a bit, though it was mostly Tomokazu Seki being hilarious and everyone else being awkward.
